1st Place!

The following photos were taken by me and entered in the county fair.

I call this photo “Footprints”.  Most people don’t realize that Arizona gets snow.  Well this picture was taken outside my fiance’s front door in Kachina Village right outside Flagstaff, Arizona.  It was taken a few years ago and we were snowed in for a day because of all the snow.  I believe we had 2 or 3 feet of snow.  We had shoveled the snow the night before and woke up to more.  The “Kid”, his kitty, decided to make his mark on the newly fallen snow as seen by his footprints.

This picture called “Florence Courthouse” is a beauty!  I love the contrast of the building and sky.  The courthouse is the original courthouse of Florence, Arizona.  Everything below this point had scaffolding all around as they were fixing a lot of damage.

This one got third place of the five photos I entered.

The next two photos were also entered but received no ribbons.  I still love them!  🙂

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
This tree is on the top of Mt. Elden in Flagstaff, Arizona.  The winds are so strong there that some of the trees actually grow twisted.  These type of trees are homes to birds such as the bald eagle.

I hope you liked seeing another side of me.  🙂

Brightest Blessings,
Carol

The Climb…

Do you ever feel like you’re climbing your personal mountain and then all of a sudden you can’t see where you’re going?  It can be a struggle just to do the climb but when you get to a point where everything seems to have disappeared… your purpose seems to have left you and you don’t know where to turn.

Perceptions…

Fairy-Bird

This is an interesting subject… perceptions. What are they really? We all know they are different ways of looking at things. One person’s perception is usually completely different from another. Some can be very similar but there is always at least one little thing that is different.

Peace & Love

Peace & Love

Every morning I set time aside to meditate.  It helps me to restart and have a fresh mind for the day.  Lately, it has not worked.  So many worries and thoughts run through my mind.  I try to move them along gently so that I can find some peace and get messages from spirit to pass along to all of you.  Sometimes it works and other times… well let’s just say I struggle to let go.

Confusion and Our Journey…

Many of us feel as though we are at a crossroads. We feel confused and completely out of sorts. We’ve been looking at our lives and noticed being pulled here and there. We’ve been told to follow our heart’s passion. Well what if our heart’s passion is many things? Or… we’re not sure what our heart’s passion is. Well, this feeling I’m getting from everyone is also something I’ve been struggling with. Here are the inside aspects that I’m getting from everyone’s energy.

Can beauty be deceiving?

Tree at workThis morning I was sitting in my car looking at this beautiful tree I usually park in front of.  It speaks to me sometimes.  So I decided to take a picture of it.  I’ve always loved looking at it but this morning I felt sadness and one of my guides told me to learn about Ivy and Tree.  I found that even though it is beautiful to look at it is not always healthy for the tree.  In fact, Ivy can literally suck the life out of a tree.  As Ivy grows it has a sticky type of substance that allows it to attach itself to whatever it is climbing.  It then can grow hair like roots.  It grows under the bark allowing the protective barrier of the tree to be exposed and become sick.  Ivy also competes with the tree for sunlight.  So unfortunately, although beautiful to look at, Ivy can literally suck the life out of the tree it is growing on.
