Exploring Our Energy Connection

What is this energy connection that so many people talk about? This question is asked so much by people who are awakening. I, myself have asked it many times. I have found that many are afraid to ask this question out loud for fear of sounding ignorant. Well, I’m here to tell you that you do not sound ignorant… yes… I can hear you… or sense you asking that question. You see my intuition does not “hear” intuitively… it senses. I sense the energy around you. I can sense when you are dying to ask a question but are afraid to ask it. It is part of the empathic ability within me that senses the emotion part of your energy.

So let’s talk about what our energy connection is. Scientifically speaking, we are all made up of energy. We are many little atoms which create our cells, which creates our organs, which has an outer shell called our bodies and our body holds within it… our life force. This life force is an energy center that is with us through each and every life we live as well as every type of existence we have. Our soul is another name for this life force… this energy center. Our energy center is but a small little spark of a greater life force. Different names for that greater life force are God, The Divine, The Universe and many more. This greater life force is what gave us our life force when we were created. It also allows us to remain connected to the greater life force. Remaining connected to that life force gives us all the ability to feel the connection to other beings of light. These beings of light are numerous. They range from spirit, ghosts, people, animals, plants, planets and the list goes on.

You know that feeling you get when you think someone is watching you or there’s someone standing behind you? Well, you are sensing their energy… that connection to their life force. Can you or do you know someone who can see, feel, sense, hear and or taste auras? Hear and taste auras? “Carol… you are absolutely nuts! No one can hear or taste and aura.” Hahahaha… nope… I’m not crazy… there are some who can actually hear the vibrations of energy and can actually taste it as well. Tasting is much less common but it does happen. So… our aura is our energy field that surrounds us. Our energy center is within us and vibrates out around us which causes the aura.

Now we can push this energy out or we can bring it in. Have you ever been around someone that is so hyper or excited that you have to take a step back? That’s because their energy field… their aura is pushing out and touching ours which feels foreign or uncomfortable so we distinctly take a step back so that our energy field does not get overwhelmed. Can you think of any other circumstances that can cause an instant response from our body? Here’s another example: Someone next to you starts screaming… what do you do? You instantly cover your ears. This is because the energy vibration of the scream slams into your ears causing pain so your body triggers a response to quickly prevent the pain from occurring.

Ok, so now that we have an understanding of our energy, let’s see if we can determine your energy compared to someone else’s.

Let’s face it… being an empath makes life difficult. There’s no denying that. But what if you can learn how to sense the difference between your energy and everyone else’s? Instead of trying to figure out who’s emotion is who’s, maybe having the ability to determine your energy from another’s can help in separating the emotion as well. That would make a world of difference wouldn’t it? Well… let’s see if it does. Ready to be my guinea pig? Hahahaha… just kidding, but I am going to give you some exercises to work on to help you determine the difference of your energy compared to that of others around you.

Exercise #1
Feeling Your Own Energy Using An Energy Ball

First and foremost, ground and protect yourself. Make sure your bubble of protection, or however you like to envision it, can expand freely with your energy. Anytime you do energy work it’s always good to set this type of protection because you don’t want to constrict yourself.

Find a comfortable spot, preferably sitting, and relax. You can keep your eyes open because we will not be meditating.

Do your breathing exercise to become calm and relaxed yet staying alert and centered within your body.

Once you feel calm and relaxed yet alert and centered, I want you to turn your focus to your hands. Let’s create an energy ball. Some of you may already be familiar with this.

Now rub your hands together rapidly for 3 seconds and then place them out from the center of your body, fingers pointing away from your body, palms facing each other with about 10 inches between them. Holding them in that position you will begin to feel a sort of ball between them.

Now move your palms toward each other to feel the pressure of the ball. This is an energy ball created with your own energy. That is your energy.

You can play with this if you like by expanding it and squishing it. Become comfortable with it. Release it by letting your hands down.

Exercise #2
Flexing Your Energy

The best time to do this is when you are alone or you can go somewhere and be alone. For those of you who are always around people, you can do this while taking a bath or maybe request to use a room for a little while for some quiet time.

First and foremost, ground and protect yourself. Make sure your bubble of protection, or however you like to envision it, can expand freely with your energy. Anytime you do energy work it’s always good to set this type of protection because you don’t want to constrict yourself and you need to be protected.

Find a comfortable spot, preferably sitting, and relax. You can keep your eyes open because we will not be meditating.

Do your breathing exercise to become calm and relaxed yet staying alert and centered within your body.

Once you feel calm and relaxed yet alert and centered, I want you to turn your focus to the front of your body. Focus on an energy field around you. Close your eyes if that makes it easier.

Now push it out a bit like you are stretching. It may be difficult at first because you are not used to doing this. Give yourself time and practice with this.

Once you feel that you can push your energy field out a bit, push it to touch a wall or something solid. See if you can feel a difference.

Practice this technique.

Exercise #3
Using Your Energy Field to Touch Another’s

Ask a friend to help you or have your pet sit with you. It works better with another person but a pet will do in a pinch.

First and foremost, ground and protect yourself and have your friend do the same. If your friend does not know how then include them in your protection.

Focus on the energy field around you. Close your eyes if you feel the need.

Now… push your energy field out to touch your friend. See if you can sense the difference between your energy and theirs.

Keep doing this until you can. It may take several tries or it may work the very first time. Your friend may even feel something as well.

Ok, so give those a try. Practice, practice, practice!

Please share how these exercises work for you. If you experience something odd please don’t hesitate to leave a comment. Also… if you have questions or concerns please ask or state them in the comment section below.
