Root Chakra (Day 2)
Parts of the Body Governed / Symptoms of Healthy, Over Active and Closed Chakra

Today we are going to talk about what parts of our body are associated with the root chakra and what symptoms to look out for if your root chakra is out of balance or closed. When this chakra is off balance many things can surface as physical symptoms to certain parts of our body. The root chakra deals with the adrenal glands within the body. The areas of the body that are influenced by the energy of the root chakra are the legs, feet, bones (including the teeth), the bowels, large intestines and the spinal column.

With all that’s going on…

1476391_770879766258876_1402654620_nI feel the need to talk about Chakras.  During this time of awakening, we are in need of healing our inner-selves.  To do that, we need to know a bit about our Chakra system.  The picture I’ve inserted is one you’ve probably seen before.  It’s a great starting point.  These 7 chakras are energy points within our bodies that allow for good energy flow.  If any of these are blocked then we can experience illness.  The 7 chakras (moving bottom to top) are as follows:

  1. Root Chakra – Color is Red.  Located at the base of the spine and is what makes us feel grounded, it’s about survival, and it relates us to the material and physical world.  It also gives us the ability to stand up for one’s self if it is in a healthy state.  It is our feeling of “the right to exist”.

  2. Sacral Chakra – Color is Orange.  Located in the lower abdomen about 2 inches below the naval.  It’s connected to issues related to feelings, socializing, and intimacy.  It is our feeling of “the right to feel”.

  3. Solar Plexus Chakra – Color is Yellow.  Located in the upper abdomen in the stomach area.  This is our personal power – to feel confident and in control of our lives, to have self worth and self esteem.  This also is the balance of intellect and ego power.  It’s our feeling of “the right to be”.

  4. Heart Chakra – Color is Green.  Located in the center of the chest above the heart.  Relationships – the right to love.  Love, forgiveness, compassion, and the ability to accept self.  It is our feeling of “the right to love”.

  5. Throat Chakra – Color is Blue.  Located in the throat.  Communication – The right to speak.  Express yourself, trust, loyalty, organization, and planning.  It is our feeling of “the right to speak”.

  6. Third Eye Chakra – Color is Indigo.  Located between the eyes.  Intuition – the right to see.  Trusting in one’s intuition and insights.  Developing one’s psychic abilities.  Self-realization.   It is our feeling of “the right to see”.

  7. Crown Chakra – Color is Violet.  Located at the top of your head.  Knowingness – our ability to be fully connected spiritually.  Inner and outer beauty, peace, and pure bliss.  It is our feeling of “the right to know”

These are not the only Chakras we have in our systems but these are the largest and most common.  In the next several posts I will go into more depth on each Chakra listing stones that are good to use with them, what part of the body each Chakra directly affects, and many other things that will help us through healing our inner-selves.

Brightest Blessings,
Carol

In my experience, carnelians have brought me a wonderful feeling of empowerment which has helped me get through some tough situations. This stone is known for its red-orange brilliance and its energy of leadership, courage, and motivation. They are also very good when you are in training to aid with focus and stability.
